AUSSTAR range – End Suction Single Stage Centrifugal Pump
The AUSSTAR centrifugal range is designed in accordance with ISO 2858 and ANSI international standards and have been developed to surpass market standards, ensuring high performance and excellent reliability. They are also fully interchangeable with Ahlström APP Parts.

Impeller Interchangeable with the APP / APT Part no. 230, Ausstar can supply a versatile range of Ausstar impellers that are applied on different work conditions, minimising life cycle cost/energy cost/operation cost/ downtime cost. Rotary-key impeller mounting provides strong, reliable power transmission. It is self-locking and reverse rotation safe. Rotary-key facilitates the installation and removal of the impeller. It is not sensitive to axial loads created during pump operation.

Side Plate Interchangeable with the APP / APTPart No.135 Externally adjustable side plate
- Allows fast and simple impeller clearance setting, thereby minimising life cycle costs and ensuring continued high efficiency.

Volute Casing Interchangeable with the APP / APT Part No. 102 Volute Casing

Bearing Unit Interchangeable with the APP / APT Part No. 330 Reliable Bearing Unit
- Reliable, simplified, heavy-duty bearing unit minimises unexpected shutdowns and reduces maintenance costs
- Includes oil and grease lubrication for all performance needs: grease lubrication for applications up to 120°C / 250°F; and oil lubrication for up to 180°C / 355°F

Deflector Interchangeable with the APP / APT Part No. 423/507 Bearing Deflector
- Non-contacting bearing isolators at both ends of the bearing housing consists of three elements: Deflector, Lipseal and a Labyrinth.
- Prevents oil leaks from the bearing housing and prevents contaminates entering.
- No contact between the Lipseal and the shaft when the shaft is rotating extends lifecycle.
Shaft Sealing Options
A wide selection of shaft seals is available to meet the needs of each specific application. Dynamic seals and ready fitted mechanical seals suit all requirements. Interchangeable with Ahlström APT / APP parts.
Mechanical Seals
Various mechanical seal configurations are available. For difficult applications “ready-fitted” seals are especially recommended.
For extremely corrosive applications, a ready-fitted seal can be selected with the same exact construction material as the pump casing itself.
Dynamic Seal
The Dynamic Seal is specially designed for fibrous liquids such as paper stock and other difficult liquids.
The Dynamic Seal requires no external sealing water. It is essentially maintenance-free and offers outstanding reliability.
Gland Packings
A gland packing with external flushing prevents the pumped liquid from precipitating into the sealing housing.
The flushing liquid is mixed with the pumped liquid. Alternatively the external flushing has an outlet connection.
